It was cold this morning.
A small force arrived at the encampment and a horserider galloped forward towards the gaurded gate. The gatekeepers pointed their spears towards the young man. "Who are you and what are you intentions?" One of them asked.
"I am Ren Zhi, Son of Ren Mao from the Liang Province. We came as reinforcements for your army. Your master has been notified of this." The rider answered.
The gatekeeper nodded to his comrade and whent to check if he spoke the truth. He returned in a minutes. "very well, you may enter. But leave your men standing there!"
Ren Zhi nodded and went trough the wooden gates. He hated this with every muscle in his body. To aid this scoundrel Dong Zhuo. He had heard of how he reignend. Extorting his own people and keeping all for himself, anyone who complainend was tortured and killed and now because of the yellow turbans he was ordered to aid him! To listen to his orders!
He arrived at the big tent and went inside. There he saw the tyrant, sitting on a comfy looking chair with gairds all around him, ready to draw their swords if there was any sign of an attack from their geust, him. While holding in his grudge he kneeled down and began to speak.
"I am Ren Zhi, general under lord Ma Teng. Me and my men are under your command!" Dong Zhuo grunted angry. "What is a foolish welp like you doing here! and with such a small force! I was told that I would get at least ten thousand men as reinforcements!
"Forgive me" Ren Zhi tried to hold his anger. "Our main army got delayed because of the yellow turbans. Lord Ma Chao sended me forward to explain that they would arrive later." Dong Zhuo repositionend himself in his chair. "Fine then, Tell your men to set up camp outside our gates.Tommorow we will charge at the rebel stronghold, Your soldiers will lead the first wave." Dong Zhuo waved him off and as Ren Zhi left the tent he could hear him laugh.
"Damn that demon!" He mumbled in himself and went to report his troops about their orders...He knew they wouldn't like it at all.

Bu Xiu Cang stood on guard on one of the walls of the encampment of Dong Zhuo. "I shouldn't be here..." he wispered to himself. An officer walked by and overheard him. "Did you say something soldier?!" Suddenly Cang stood up straight. "No sir!" "Good, here's your shift, you will be expexted on this same spot, tonight when the moon is rising on the horizon." "Yes sir! Thank you sir!" Cang saluted and walked towards his tent. He saw a man walking from the generals tent, he looked like a man of class, but he looked very angry. When he arived at his tent he took off his armor and helmet en withdrew a small book which he began to read in front of his tent. Not many people where able to read and wright but Cang could because his father taught him. He was a great strategist long ago and now served as the emperor's advisor. When Cang was little his father gave him this book and he said to him: "When you can read this book, I want you to read it untill you know every little thing there is written in it. Accomplish this and you will fly your way to the same rank I once had." Ever since that day Cang learned to read and everyday he would read a page or two in the book, he finished it so many times already, but he didn't care. He just wanted to make his father proud. "What are you reading Bu Xiu?" a soldier asked him while he was passing by. He smiled and showed him the cover which only depictured the symbols of the title. "The art of war by..." "Sun Tzu..." The soldier interrupted him. "I could have known, are you still into this?.... How many times did you read it?" Cang tried to think about it. "I don't know actually, many times, that's for sure." "And it still doesn't get boring? Try something else, I'd love to hear some exciting stories again." Cang sighed. "You know I don't read other books untill I can tell this book word by word, Ping." The soldier, obviously called Ping aswered sad. "Ow well... guess I still can't change you... well see you later then Cang." Cang was reading already and waved Ping goodbye.

There was a lot of discontent in his small army. Ren Zhi could feel the tension in the air, yet none of his men dared to speak about this matter.
"Very well, that is all. Set up camp and take a good rest, tommorow we ride in battle" He appointed a few gaurds in case af a sudden raid attack and returnend to his quarters.
There he took out one of the regional maps and studied it. Placing a few markers where the yellow turbans where residing. They where in the leading attack, meaning they had a high chance that they would die if they where not carefull. He had to make sure they wouldn't fall in an ambush, even if it meant staying up all night...
It was early in the morning when the forces where already preparing to march. They where lucky, nothing happenend in the night meaning everyone was rested well. Ren Zhi quickly mounted his horse and looking back at his army, seeing them all in perfect orde and with an emotionless face. He was prepared. "Men...Move out!" He yelled and heard his loyal men yell back, following him to the army Dong Zhuo had gathered.
A giant force, definitly one that would struck fear in the hearts of every warlord and soldier alike. He looked around and spotted the fat man sitting on his horse, looking at him full of discrase, as if he was a filthy mutt. He cleared his mind of the anger and unmounted his horse, bowing for the evil commander. "Let's go!" Dong Zhuo replied. "Lead the way!"
wordless he got back on his saddle and lead his men into the battlefield...

Cang yawned. "Why are the nights so hasty while the day takes it's time... I'm so tired." he said to Ping. He just laughed at Cang. "Probably because you had a late night shift my friend. But be quiet now or else the officer might hear your complaints." Cang nodded in agreement. Ping was a good friend of Cang and also the soldier next to him in his squad. They marched behind their officer who was all dressed up like he would go to a party or something. "I wonder who will open the attack." Ping thought out loud. Cang opened his book and pointed at one of the sections in chapter one. "Look according to Sun Tzu we must always try to find a peacefull solution... if this is not an option, like in this battle.... we....." He skipped a few pages and pointed at chapter 2. "We will just wait for the opponent to charge at us, to exhaust them while we are still fresh. I do hope we have the sun in our backs... it could be a major problem if we got blinded by it." Ping sighed. "Just put the book away, I can't read anyway so you could just say anything you like whats in it. I would have believed it if was just list of stuff to buy on the market or something." Cang laughed at his friend. "Don't be such a fool, why would we waste expensive paper to write our daily needs on." Ping looked straight forward. "Well we might... it's a possibility."

He could see it clearly now. They where in yellow turban territory. Wherever he looked he saw the remains of soldiers and peasants alike, whom had refused to aid those rebels.
And then he saw the banners... "They have been waiting for us! Take battle positions!" Ren Zhi Shouted to his men. Dong Zhuo however laughed hard. "What is there to fear, it's a small group. First wave...Attack"! He was true, it was just a small force but that is what Ren Zhi got worried his troops belongend in the first wave with a few of Dong Zhuo's own men led by Hu Zhen, to make sure that Ren Zhi wouldn't dare thinking of retreating or even switch sides...a very dishonorable thing to do, but now he had no choice, he had to send his men into this trap. "Alright, we attack head on with two groups. The first group will attack them head on and the second group stays back, when the first group shows signs of fatique you are to switch sides with them." Hu Zhen nodded, atleast he was loyal to his commands...

Hu Zhen gave out the order to attack. "What! First wave attack? That's us... This is bad... We aren't following the book... what should we do Ping?!" Ping sighed. "Just put away the book and obey your orders... Not everything goes according to books, and besides it's only a small force... or are you afraid of them Cang?" Cang glanced at him while marching full speed at the enemy. "Afraid? Me? Bu Xiu Cang?! I am never afraid! Let them come!" He put away the book and drew his sword.

(( Okay, guys. Last time I roleplayed an ancient war, it was last year with my ex. So forgive me if I am a total retard; I am a girl after all. *cute smile* ))
Pin Yu was one of those rebels who were standing there, waiting for Dong Zhuo forces to attack them. "A girl?" hissed one of the men behind her, "Why the heck is there a woman here?" "How should I know? I heard she's a traitor, and that she had to change her name so that no one would find her." said another man. "Concentrate on the opponents", Pin Yu said strictly, "I am not here to give you orders but I'm not here either to listen to your blabberings." The two men looked at each other, shrugging their shoulders. Pin Yu didn't like the situation at all. They were probably facing an army of elite soldiers who would show no mercy. Though, she never showed mercy either to her opponents, so why should she complain? She took a long arrow and placed it on her bow. "Kill as many as you can", she whispered to herself. The rebels drew their swords and other weapons aswell.
(( Sorryyy! I feel like I really suck in everything today. xD ))

((Nope all is good and right!))
Deng Mao, the acting general of the small yellow turban force ordered his men to stay put as the first wave came closer and closer, with Ren Zhi and Hu Zhen taking the lead. Then suddenly...
He could feel the ground quaking underneath him, getting stronger and stronger, the sounds from something heavy coming nearer. He moved his head to his left and then he saw the giant boulders coming right towards them.
"They fell for it!" Deng Mao cheered and right at that time they attacked, taking the oppertunity from confusion with them.
Ren zhi jumped of his horse. "That fat man led us right into this ambush!" He sneered more to himself then towards his men as the yellow turbans initiated their attack. He could hear the sound of metal clashing against eachother, the scream for mercy and war and ofcourse the rolling boulders coming mercilessly down upon them. "We need to stop those boulders quick!" He yelled around slashing his way trough the enemy forces. "Those who don't fear death, move your way up that ledge while dodging those rocks!" He could not do such thing himself, that would mean the end of his army,,he had to rally them quick...

"What the! Boulders?!" Ping said out of fear. "Fear not Ping! Don't let these tricks get to you." Cang heard a man screaming for someone who didn't fear death. Ping grabbed Cang by his armor and lifted him with ease since he was much bigger and stronger than Cang. "This man does not fear death sir! His nickname is Bu Xiu (The Immortal), let him live up to his name!" Ping yelled over the sound of metal and earth while with his free hand slashing enemy soldiers. Cang who now hang in mid air was also killing the rebel soldiers while listening to what Ping suggested. "Yes sir! I am willing to do this sir!" he screamed to this man. Then he turned his head around to Ping and said. "You can let me go now friend." And with his sword in his hand he moved up making it's way towards the ledge.

Since Pin Yu was a warrior who was used to fight from a long distance, she was standing quite far from the enemies. Her sharp eyes and steady arms worked very well together when using a bow. She could prevent the enemy's movements when the boulders made their entrance, and Pin Yu acted fast to kill as many as possible. "They fell for it!" cheered Deng Mao further away. Pin Yu couldn't help but to smile. This was not over yet though, not at all. But the fact that the Dong Zhuo forces had not thought about a secret trap, made her and many others quite happy. She continued aiming towards the enemy forces, especially searching for important generals and commanders. They were her favourites.

Ren Zhi grinnend at the two while trashing the yellow turbans right and left. "Good ;uck to you! I am proud to witness the courage of such warriors!" But then he saw it, just a small flicker thanks to the appearing sun. A small piece of metal heading his way, an arrow.
In the nick of time, he could swing his blade right before his head, blocking the arrow's path. "Who did that!" Ren Zhi knew one thing...Whomever shot that arrow was a man of precision. A second one and a thrith one quickly followed, he dodged them quickly trying to see where they came from, wich was hard with the struggeling forces right and left but then he saw him...or her.
"A..girl! Is she trying to kill me!"

(( Yes, she's trying to kill you. xP ))
Looks like he spotted me, Pin Yu thought and prepared another arrow, someone like him doesn't fit as a general, he's too young. He's too much like brother. Pin Yu bit his lip when remembering the incident which had led her to this situation. But she was on a battlefield, in the middle of a fight. There's no time for memories. "Trying to dodge my arrows?" Pin Yu snickered and prepared three arrow at one time, "Let's just see how good you truly are." She shot the arrows. That's when she got other things to worry about, a few enemies had made it through the fierce battle all way to her and other rebels who had decided to stick in long range fighting. "I guess I underestimated them", said one of the men, "Pin Yu, give me a helping hand would you?" The enemy soldier had attacked him and now noticed Pin Yu aiming towards him. "A woman?!" were his last words. "Thanks", the rebel said to her, "You just concentrate on eliminating the high ranked generals, I'll protect your back." Pin Yu nodded to him and spotted Ren Zhi once again. Too much like her brother. She aimed once again towards him.

"Drat! They are coming! Get ready to push them back!" Cheng Yuanzhi screamed to his men. He was in charge with the boulder ambush and it looked like a few soldiers managed to dodge their way towards them.
"I am not afraid of you! On Heaven's behalf I will punish you demon! He yelled charging at the first one who managed to have climbed the ledge...
Dong Zhuo hated it. Hishuge forces took a beating against those weak rebels, he was going to punish the officers whom where responisble for this dishonoring loss. "Alright you maggots! We must do everything ourselfs! Charge!" He himself personaly rode out, being gaurded by a large force...
Meanwhile Ren Zhi did his best to push the yellow turbans back aswell as dodging the girls precise aim. Although she was his enemy he was somehow happy to meet such a strong female. If she only would switch sides...perhaps he could purswade her.
"Ungh! Darn it!" He didn't payed full concentration to her and as an result he had now one of her arrows stuck in his shoulder. With a roaring yell he ripped the arrow out of his flesh, and charged fully at her... Deng Mao tried to block his path but was litterly thrown away. Witnessing such strength his cowardice overcame himself and he retreated, fleeing from the battlefield. A few fast strokes with his blade and the archers fell down or retreated further back and he stood face to face with this menace. "You are good!" He commented her grinning with a small hint of pain on his face...

Cang didn't pay much attention to the world around him, only at his targets. The boulder squad noticed his presence and yelled that he was not afraid of him. "On Heaven's behalf I will punish you Demon!" the man yelled while rushing towards him. "And I don't believe in Demon's and God's and Heavens! So I'm not afraid either!" Cang yelled at him and clashed with the man. The sound of steel clashing against steel was an addictive sound Cang knew, he already felt a rush of adrenaline through his body and he felt as strong a three well built men. The book he read might not have mentioned a thing about one on one combat tips but he was a master swordsman, all of it learned from his father. He managed to cut his opponent slightly in his leg, it wasn't deep and he knew the man wouldnt even notice it untill the end of this fight. Cang blocked the sword with relative ease. "Playtime is over!" he said and launched the offensive. He attacked with his sword like an executioner, precise and with mighty blows.
