Name : Sindou Seimei (family name first)
Age : 17 (Birthday: 21 March)
Gender : Male
Nationality : Japanese
Occasion : Seimei can't controll his powers good enough yet, so he was sent to Sadoriku Island by his family because of it's magical forces, which would speed up the training progress.
Background story : Long ago a shapeshifted kitsune got pregnant of a man. The kid would get great powers due to his mother's blood. However, it turned out to be a twin. Being one, though still different, each brother inherited half of the powers. They each went their way and founded their own family: the Shindou and the Miyamoto family. Every now and then 'destined twins' are born, one in each family, each highly gifted like unto their ancestors.
Seimei grew up on a shinto shrine's campus, taught by his grandfather who is an Onmyouji. He gave Seimei special training because he noticed he could be one of the destined twins. However, his grandfather didn't tell Seimei about this.
Magic : Next to kendo, Seimei has been taught Onmyoudo and trained to use magic since he was young. However, his skills are very low and he can hardly use any magic.
His main powers lie in creating illusions and absorbing life-energy. He can heal by absorbing "bad" energy, and inflict damage by absorbing "good" energy.
Living : in the school dormitories, same room as Kikyou, next to the room of Natsumi and Shumetsu.
Student : Studies at school, though mainly as a cover-up for his real intentions. (see occasion)
Appearance : Seimei has black hair and a slight tan, typically Japanese, though surprisingly he has blue eyes. He is not very tall and has long-ish, slightly messy hair, almost anime/manga-like.
Seimei left, Kikyou right.
notes: Onmyoudo is a traditional Japanese esoteric cosmology, a mixture of natural science and occultism. It is based on the Chinese philosophies of Wu Xing (five elements) and Yin and yang, introduced into Japan at the turn of the 6th century, and accepted as a practical system of divination. These practices were influenced further by Taoism, Buddhism and Shintoism, and evolved into present-day onmyoudo approximately in the late 7th century.
Professional practitioners of this art were called onmyouji. These are nowadays mainly defined as shinto priests.
