Ok I have three previews for you guys ^^
first Koruam you may have already seen him but here he is again, my pride, Koruam the Great:
I will explain the cards as I show them to you guys.
In the goldcoin at the top right corner you can see the value of 30, this means that you have to pay 30 gold to play Koruam. Gold is obtained from locations, every turn you get an amount of Gold in your 'wallet' and you can freely spend it on the cards in your hand.
Koruam's supertype is a Unique Character which means there can only be one Koruam in play at any moment. If someone plays another character called Koruam the old Koruam is put into the discard pile from play immediately.
His subtype is Warrior. Some cards may refer to this subtype, other than that it is just for flavor.
Beneath this line you see: HP, Attack and Defense.
Koruam's HP is 600, if he has no HP left he is destroyed.
His attack is ? which is explained in the cardtext on Koruam.
His defense is 300.
For example a character with HP: 100, Attack: 400 and defense 200 will attack Koruam it goes as follows: The gametext states that Koruam has 600 attack when fully healed. In this case he is fully healed so he has 600 attack.
The attacker has an attack of 400 which will clash on Koruams defense of 300, 400-300 leaves 100 points to go to Koruam's HP, which means he will get a damage counter.
Characters fight each other simultaniously so Koruam strikes back, considering he has no damage yet.
his 600 attack against the attackers 200 defense. 600-200 leaves 400 damage to go to the attackers HP of 100.
End of combat, Koruam gets 100 damage, leaving him with 500 HP and 500 attack.
the Attacker however gets 400 damage and is destroyed at the end of the combat step.
Koruam's ability's state the following keywords:
Immortal, Regenerate
Immortal means: This character cannot be destroyed by damage. If this character would be destroyed otherwise return it to your hand instead. If this character is removed from the game, remove it from the game.
Regenerate means: At the beginning of your turn, after you draw a card, remove 1 damage counter from this character.
On the bottom line you see the copyright thingy and the illustrator as well as the collectors number.
In this case it's: number 15 from the 300 cards in this set.
Next is a remake of the very first set of cards I created way back in 2003, it's the Book of the Gods.
In the story, Pesf finds a book with the symbol of the Gods on it. (The fire in a drop of water.) He quickly discovers there are some pages torn out of the book.
I came up with this mechanic 4 years ago and it is the only mechanic in the game that remained unchanged.
When you play this card it does nothing. It just refers to some other cards in the game like: The UpperGods, Language of the Gods, Battle of the Gods, The Gods Demand and The Experienced One.
These are all page cards.
A page card can only be played if the correct book is in play, the pages doesnt tell you which book they come from, only book tells you which pages it misses, you do not need to complete the book if you want to use a page however.
Items are permanent unless the card says otherwise.
The last preview card is this one:
Drawn by our own Yume.
This card only cost a lousy 5 Gold.
It only has 100 HP, 100 Attack and 100 defense. Why you ask? Because it's just a simple explorer.
This character is not Unique so like all other normal cards you can play them 4 times.
There are 2 subtypes on this Character: Elf and Nomad. If a card says it targets an elf it could also target this one, if a card says: all elfs cost 1 less and all Nomads cost 1 less, this would mean that our Explorer would cost 2 less since it's both.
Well that was it. I will open a topic with a keyword glossary for future reference. As soon as I get new art I will post new cards (the cards are all finished.....except for the art...)
See ya later!
